CryptoTD — https://cryptotd.me · https://app.cryptotd.me · https://whitepaper.cryptotd.me
Effective date: 16 October 2026 · Version: 1.0

1. Who we are, and what these Terms cover

CryptoTD is a browser-based, blockchain-linked tower-defense game operated under the studio name TokenTide Studios (“TokenTide Studios”, “we”, “us”, “our”). TokenTide Studios is an independent project, not a registered company, and is run by the individual operating it from Portugal.

These Terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the game at app.cryptotd.me, the website at cryptotd.me, the documentation at whitepaper.cryptotd.me, and any companion app we operate.

By connecting a wallet to the game, or by playing with or without a wallet, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use CryptoTD.

Two related documents also apply, and we encourage you to read them:

Our whitepaper, roadmap, and social posts are informational only. Where they conflict with these Terms, these Terms prevail. They are not an offer, a promise, or a projection of token value.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under mandatory law, including mandatory consumer law in Portugal or the EU. Where these Terms conflict with a right you cannot legally waive, that right wins.

2. The short version

  • You must be 18 or older. CryptoTD handles tokens.
  • Your wallet is your account. We do not create accounts, we cannot reset them, and we cannot recover them. Nobody from CryptoTD will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key.
  • The $CCrown token contract is not deployed yet (per our F.A.Q.: “Is the Crypto Crowns Token live? Not yet.”). We are in beta. Deposits and withdrawals on BSC mainnet are not yet enabled, and you cannot yet earn real tokens in beta.
  • Crypto is irreversible and risky. Deposits and withdrawals, once on-chain, cannot be reversed by us or anyone else. You can lose everything you put in.
  • This is a game, not an investment. We are not selling you a security, we give no investment advice, and we make no promise that the token will ever be worth anything — or that the game will stay online.
  • In beta we may reset progress and balances. Play as if the beta economy is temporary.
  • Don’t cheat or exploit. Bots, automation, multi-account farming, and bug abuse get your access suspended.
  • Disputes: talk to us first at [email protected]; these Terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility

To use CryptoTD you must:

  1. be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement;
  2. not be barred from using the game under the laws that apply to you — including sanctions or embargo rules and any local law restricting crypto assets, tokens, or online games;
  3. use your own wallet and act for yourself, not for another person;
  4. not be in a jurisdiction where playing, earning, depositing, or withdrawing is illegal or restricted, or where we are prohibited from serving you.

We may require you to confirm your eligibility, geo-restrict access, or suspend a wallet where we reasonably believe any of these conditions is not met. We do not currently run identity-verification (KYC) checks; we may introduce them if the law or our risk assessment requires it, and we will say so before we do.

4. Your wallet is your account

  • You log in by connecting a Web3 wallet (e.g. MetaMask) and signing a message. That signature only proves you control the wallet; it cannot move funds.
  • Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, including anyone claiming to be CryptoTD support. Anyone who asks is trying to steal from you.
  • You are responsible for your own wallet, its security, and any device you play on, and for the accuracy of any address you use. Payments sent to a wrong address are lost, and we cannot recover them.
  • If your wallet is involved in fraud, cheating, or abuse, we may suspend its access to the game (Section 16).

5. The game

What it is. CryptoTD is a strategy tower-defense game: you place and upgrade defensive towers to stop waves of enemies from reaching the exit. Towers have rarities and randomised attributes, and aura towers boost nearby towers. Details of towers, stats, upgrades, and placement are in the whitepaper.

Credits. In the current design you can play a limited number of games before needing more credits — as documented, a maximum of three games before acquiring additional credits, with a 24-hour cooldown on recharging, at a cost of 5 CCrown per recharge. Credits then become immediately available.

Rewards. As documented, a game ends when 15 enemies reach the exit; a reward based on the wave you reached is then credited to your in-game balance, and you may claim a reward equal to your last reward after a short delay.

Demo / no-wallet play. Where a demo or no-wallet mode is available, it lets you try the game without connecting a wallet. Demo progress, demo balances, and demo items have no monetary value and may be changed or wiped at any time.

Beta. CryptoTD is in staged beta. During beta: the token contract is not deployed, crates may be free, play may be limited to invited wallets or a capped number of players, the economy is being stress-tested, and we may reset, correct, or wipe progress, balances, items, or leaderboards — including balances you accumulated by playing — to launch the live economy.

Changes to the game. Game mechanics, tower stats, rarities, drop rates, credit rules, reward formulas, and features (such as merges, lotteries, hall-of-fame rewards, and NFT items that are on the roadmap) are subject to change, rebalancing, or removal at any time. We balance games; a nerfed tower is not a breach of these Terms.

6. $CCrown, deposits, and withdrawals

The token. $CCrown is a utility token for the game, intended to be deployed on Binance Smart Chain. Per the whitepaper, the supply is capped at 1,000,000,000 tokens, with allocations including a Pinksale fair launch, a liquidity allocation locked for a period, a play-to-earn pool, a staking pool, team allocation (released on a vesting schedule), marketing, and operational costs. All of that is a plan, not a promise, and the allocation, vesting, and launch details may change before the token is deployed.

The token is not live. The contract address on our website is still a placeholder and the F.A.Q. confirms the token has not launched. Nothing in these Terms or in the whitepaper is an offer to sell tokens. A future fair launch or token sale on Pinksale will be governed by its own separate terms, to be published before that sale opens.

No investment relationship. $CCrown is not a security, share, or investment product. We publish no advice, no price target, and no expectation of profit. As our risk warning states, this is a memecoin-style entertainment project: cryptocurrency markets are volatile and unregulated, you may lose your entire contribution, the contracts could be hacked or fail, and you should only take part with funds you can afford to lose entirely.

Deposits and withdrawals. When we enable mainnet deposit and withdrawal:

  • transactions are executed by smart contracts on BSC and are final and irreversible;
  • you pay the network gas fees, whatever they are at the time, and you accept the risk of congestion, failed or stuck transactions, and chain reorganisations;
  • we may set and change minimum amounts, daily or per-wallet limits, fees, cooldowns, and maintenance pauses (for example a temporary pause on deposits or withdrawals for security or launch reasons) — a pause is not a breach of these Terms;
  • we may correct accounting errors in in-game balances (for example a mis-credited reward or a credited deposit that never arrived on-chain);
  • we do not issue refunds. There is no chargeback, reversal, or “undo” for a blockchain transaction.

No custody, no banking. We are not a bank, exchange, custodian, broker, or financial institution, and we do not hold your funds or your keys. We do not provide tax advice: you are responsible for determining and paying any taxes on your tokens, rewards, or gaming activity.

7. Staking (when available)

If and when staking opens, the published terms of the whitepaper apply as functional in-game rules — as documented: a per-account limit of 6,000 CCrown, a global limit of 2,000,000 CCrown, a minimum of 200 CCrown locked for 15 days, and a stated APY of 400%.

8. Virtual items and what you own

Towers, upgrades, credits, crates, cosmetics, and other in-game items are a licence to use digital content inside CryptoTD, not property you own outside the game. You may not sell, rent, or trade them outside channels we provide, and we may change, rebalance, or remove them. Where we later issue items as blockchain assets (for example the roadmap’s tower NFTs), the separate terms for those assets will govern them — nothing in this section gives you rights in content that does not exist yet.

9. Acceptable use

Play fair. You agree not to:

  • use bots, scripts, macros, automation, or modified clients to play, farm, or interact with the game;
  • exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics — instead, report them to us;
  • run multiple wallets or accounts to multiply credits, rewards, or limits beyond what a single player is entitled to;
  • manipulate the economy, rewards, or other players through cheating, collusion, wash trading, or fake activity;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, probe, or interfere with the game, its communications, its servers, or its security — including attempting to intercept or replay game traffic, or to gain access to non-public data, other players’ data, or our infrastructure;
  • attack, overload, or disrupt the service (including denial-of-service attempts), or bypass rate limits, geo-restrictions, or suspensions;
  • use the game for money laundering, fraud, market manipulation, or anything unlawful, or to hide the origin of funds;
  • copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the game or its assets without our written permission;
  • remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or other notices.

We may investigate suspected breaches, preserve evidence, suspend the relevant wallets, reverse illegitimate balances or rewards, and report unlawful conduct to the authorities.

10. Our intellectual property

The game, website, documentation, names, logos, artwork, characters, tower designs, audio, code, and the “CryptoTD” and “TokenTide Studios” names are owned by us or our licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the game and visit the websites for your own non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of CryptoTD at any time, including features, modes, servers, and the game itself. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”: we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, any particular uptime, or that the game will still exist on any particular date. We may take servers down for maintenance, and blockchain networks we rely on (BSC, RPC providers) may fail or change independently of us.

12. Risk warning

By using CryptoTD you acknowledge that:

  • crypto assets are highly volatile and speculative, and can lose all value;
  • smart contracts can be hacked, exploited, or fail, and bugs may exist in the game, the token contract, or any third-party contract we rely on;
  • transactions are irreversible and may be delayed, stuck, or lost due to network conditions, gas, or your error;
  • wallets, browsers, and your devices are your responsibility, and third-party services (MetaMask, Pinksale, Cloudflare, RPC providers, Discord, and so on) are outside our control and governed by their own terms;
  • regulatory treatment of tokens can change in your jurisdiction, possibly with immediate effect, and may affect your ability to play, deposit, withdraw, or hold;
  • we may be required to suspend or restrict access to comply with law;
  • beta data, balances, and progress may be reset (Section 5).

We publish no investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing in the game, the whitepaper, our website, or our community channels is such advice.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for what we expressly promise in these Terms, CryptoTD is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or any warranty about the value, liquidity, or future price of $CCrown. We do not warrant that the game will be free of bugs, cheats, or interruptions, or that any reward will be paid.

This section does not affect your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer, which we do not exclude.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost tokens, lost opportunity, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to CryptoTD or these Terms — including losses caused by volatility, smart-contract failure, wallet loss or error, your own mistake in using an address or signing a transaction, network failure, or third-party conduct.

Where we are liable, our total aggregate liability relating to CryptoTD is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited — and nothing limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Portuguese or EU law.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the game, your violation of law, or your infringement of anyone’s rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own breach, fault, or negligence. Consumers in the EU are not required to indemnify a trader for losses caused by the trader’s own conduct.

16. Suspension and termination

By us. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the game — including blocking a wallet’s access — immediately and without notice where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, cheated, exploited a bug, attempted to attack the service, or acted unlawfully; where suspension is needed for security, maintenance, or launch reasons; or where we are required to do so by law or a competent authority. Where the reason is cheating, exploitation, or an illegitimate balance, we may reverse affected balances or rewards.

By you. You may stop using CryptoTD at any time, at no cost.

Effect. On termination, your licence to use the game and in-game items ends. Where withdrawals are enabled and your balance is legitimate, we will ordinarily allow you to withdraw what is in your in-game balance before access ends — but we may withhold or delay a withdrawal where we must investigate fraud or comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, risk warning, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law, and general provisions) survive termination.

17. Disputes and governing law

Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email [email protected] with your wallet address and a description of the issue. We will try to resolve it informally and in good faith, and we ask you to give us 30 days to do so before starting formal proceedings.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country of residence.

Jurisdiction. The courts of Portugal have jurisdiction to settle any dispute that is not resolved informally, save where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings — or to be sued — in your own place of residence.

Alternative dispute resolution. If you are a consumer, you may also use the Portuguese consumer arbitration network (RAL). The Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC) is a free, registered alternative dispute resolution body with national competence, reachable at [email protected]. (The EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025, so we do not reference it.)

Class actions. Nothing here prevents you from joining or participating in any collective or representative action available to you under applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the game develops — for example when the token contract is deployed, deposits and withdrawals go live on mainnet, staking opens, or a Pinksale fair launch is announced. The current version always lives at cryptotd.me/terms-of-service and whitepaper.cryptotd.me/support/terms-of-service, with its effective date and version number at the top. For material changes we will give prominent notice on the website and in the game before they take effect, and where required we will ask you to accept the updated Terms. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, stop using CryptoTD.

19. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us about CryptoTD and replace any earlier understanding.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable part is applied as closely as possible to its original intent.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours — for example if the project is transferred to a company or another operator — provided your rights under these Terms are not reduced.
  • No third-party rights. Nobody other than you and us can enforce these Terms, except a successor in title.
  • Language. These Terms are published in English, which controls. Any translation is for convenience only.
  • Notices. We give notice via the website, the game, or our community channels; you reach us at the addresses in Section 20. Notices to us take effect when we acknowledge them.
  • Third-party links. Links to third-party sites (Pinksale, MetaMask, Discord, block explorers) are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for their content, terms, or conduct.

20. Contact

For anything about a wallet’s access or balance, include the wallet address, the approximate time, and any transaction hash, so we can actually look it up.
